Linux Mint Cleanup Steps

Clean the Trash

Clean the updates cache

From the main menu, launch Synaptic Package Manager.

Panel of Synaptic: Settings - Preferences - Files

Select: Delete downloaded packages after installation

Press the button: Delete Cached Package Files

Remove Thumbnai cache

Check the size of the thumbnails cache

du -h ~/.cache/thumbnails

Delete the thumbnails cache if it is taking more space.

rm -rfv ~/.cache/thumbnails

Removing unused flatpack files

Check the storage size

du -sh /var/lib/flatpak

Remove unused flatpaks

flatpak uninstall --unused

Remove Old Kernels

Clean Go Cache Files

go clean -cache
go clean -modcache

Clean NPM cache

npx cache

npx clear-npx-cache

npm cache

npm cache clean --force

Use ncdu to inspect folder size
